X62-1.1

X62-1.1

The most compact engine in its class of very low shaft speed engines

Designed for vessels with slim hull lines, X62-1.1 offers high propulsion efficiency in a unique combination of low engine revolutions and an engine design with a minimum physical width.

Thanks to the engine’s agility, it is the optimum choice for several vessel segments, like Aframax tankers, Panamax/Kamsarmax bulk carriers, as well as feeder container vessels. For container vessels, the extended layout field offers the possibility to select the optimum propeller speed for a wide range of propeller diameters. The main parameters result in the engine and piston dismantling height being minimised; an essentiality for this type of application where engine room heights are limited.
This 620mm bore engine is available in 5-cylinder up to 8-cylinder configuration, covering a power range from 7,950 to 23,200kW at 77 to 103rpm.
