Engine portfolio
Since the first Sulzer engine was developed in 1898, WinGD has built a unique track record of engine innovation.
Today its portfolio comprises a range of clean-energy dual-fuel capable engines alongside its diesel-fuelled X-Engines. The X-DF series that was a pioneer of the dual-fuel LNG market has been extended with X-DF-A dual-fuel ammonia and X-DF-M dual-fuel methanol engines.
Applicable across all merchant vessel segments and with retrofit options available to all fuels, WinGD’s engine portfolio gives ship owners the flexibility, reliability and performance to power their vessels safely and efficiently, whichever fuels they use.
Energy management

WinGD Integrated Digital Expert (WIDE) uses a sophisticated digital twin of each engine to deliver real-time optimisation recommendations to crew on the vessel and ashore, identifying issues before they can turn into operational disruptions. And with seamless connectivity and around-the-clock access to WinGD experts, WiDE users can call on WinGD support wherever and whenever an issue occurs.

To support IMO Tier III NOx compliance, integrated Selective Catalytic Reduction (iSCR) provides a compact, on-engine solution that reduces the footprint of abatement equipment in the engine room and simplifies engine commissioning and installation.
To deliver even greater flexibility and efficiency for X-DF engines, Variable Compression Ratio (VCR) technology dynamically optimises compression depending on the fuel used, engine load and ambient conditions – ensuring that operators of dual-fuel engines can use either fuel without any compromise in efficiency.
